Five Favorite Nail Polishes--Summer Edition

Wednesday, August 07, 2013

Hey Beauties!
If you follow me on Instagram, then you already know I LOVE nail polish! It's like an addiction--I always get sucked into new nail polish displays.
If you asked me to pick one nail polish to wear for the rest of my life, I'd have a panic attack--there's no way I could pick JUST ONE!!
So I thought I'd do a post on the Top 5 polishes I've been reaching for this summer the most!
 *Rainbow Nails*
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear | Mint Sorbet
This color makes me think of ICE CREAM--maybe it's the name?!? Anyhow, I LOVE this color! It's a creamy and applies well. You definitely need 2 coats, the first coat is a bit streaky. This is a nice, fresh color for spring and summer.
The Sally Hansen line has really become one of my favorites recently, the quality of the polishes is crazy good for the price--$2.99!!
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear | Pinch of Punch
This picture does not do the color justice, it's a great pastel-y, lavender-pink. As you can see, it's really shiny...and I'm not wearing a base or top coat! I am only wearing one coat, and it looks amazing.
This color would look great on a lot of different skin tones.
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear | Coral Reef
Coral has been a HOT trend this summer, so it was a MUST on the nails for me. I could not get the camera to focus on my nail...but the color pay off is great. As you can see, I kind of have an obsession with Sally Hansen. Before I forget to mention, the brushes are so neat! They are a bit thicker and more rounded, they fit the nail a whole lot better than the normal, average nail brush.
Essie | Meet Me At Sunset

Such a cute name right?! Essie has a ton of cute names for their polishes. They are more pricey ($7.99) but they are worth it! Most colors only need one coat and I am not kidding when I say that they don't chip!! I can go about 5-6 days without any chipping--yes I do dishes and clean house.
This color is a great orange, great for summer, and even a great color for fall.
Essie | Watermelon

If you're on the hunt for a hot pink, this is it! I am only wearing one coat in the picture above, as you can see, the color payoff is outstanding.
Actually, this is a great all-year long, type of will look great any time of the year, and it looks great on many skin tones.
As you can see, I love Sally Hansen and Essie! Yes I do own many more brands, but I have found that these two in particular are much better long-wearing formulas.
I hope you ladies enjoyed this blog post and found it helpful! Until next time, have a great day!
xoxo, Lily
Daily Tidbits...
-I have a fresh coat of a brand new polish I just purchased, here's a picture--can you take a guess on the brand?

-Can you see my burn mark in between my pinkie and ring finger? I burned myself with my curling wand!
-The wind just picked up out of nowhere...then again I live in West Texas---windy days are pretty normal around here.
-I'm having a "makeup free" day--I definitely encourage everyone to have a few days like these!
Disclaimer: I purchased all the products mentioned myself, they are all my own, honest reviews and opinions. These are all my own pictures. I did however, use the PicFrame app and the Beautiful Mess app to do some editing.
