For the looks below I used my NuMe 19 mm wand that I purchased awhile back in a set. I have straight hair, no volume to it at all. But I have found that NuMe hair styling tools help my hair curl better, and the curls last forever!
Picture from NuMe website.
I started by sectioning my hair into small sections, clipping them away from my face. I curled my hair in 1 inch sections or smaller. The hair around my face was curled away from my face, and the rest of the hair I curled in both directions…away and towards my face. I did this because I didn’t want my hair to join into one huge curl, this method gives you defined curls and volume.
I did this to my entire hair, once I was done I let the curls cool down. Once they were completely cool…I ran my fingers thru my hair lightly, and sprayed my hair with some hairspray.
Look 1
For the first look, I just parted my hair down the middle, teased it a bit throughout the crown and sides and sprayed a light mist of hairspray. Simple, easy yet still glam.
Look 2
For the second look, I decided to pull some of the hair away from my face. This is great for those of you who don’t like having hair in your face. I simply divided the front sections of my hair, divided each section in half, and twisted them away . I then used a bobby pin and secured it in place.
Look 3
For the final and third look, I decided to do an up-do. This is great for fancier parties or if you just want to keep your hair up and out of the way. This look requires a lot of bobby pins…I mean A LOT, especially if you have a lot of hair. I started by keeping my hair pulled to the sides like look 2, I then picked up my hair into a ponytail. Lastly I started to grab curls and I stuck a bobby pin halfway down the curl and then pinning it around the base of the ponytail. It sounds and maybe looks difficult, but it’s so simple. You just continue the same motion, all around the base, until you are done. Spritz some hairspray and voila, you’re ready for a great holiday party!
