Today I will be reviewing Benefit’s The POREfessional primer. Cute name right?
There are so many primers out there with tons of claims, and I figured I would get down to the nitty-gritty with this particular primer.
Before we get started, I have oily, sensitive skin–my pores are not the biggest out there, but they are barely there noticeable. So just keep that in mind as I’m reviewing this product.

Overall Application | It’s very simple and easy to apply, I use my fingers in a patting motion over my “problem” areas working outwards. My skin felt soooo smooth! My gosh! Smoother than a baby’s bottom!!! 🙂 It makes foundation application a lot smoother too.
Overall Color | At first glance it looks like a light creamy, beige-y color, but when applied it goes on translucently. So it’s a universal primer for every skin tone.
Overall Formula | Very creamy and silky-smooth, it does an amazing job at minimizing my pores and it’s oil-free so it does great controlling my oily skin. It’s very lightweight, so it can also be worn alone, and you won’t “feel” it.
Overall Packaging | Very travel friendly packaging and super cute! It has a twist on cap, so no worries about spillage. It’s fairly sleek and small, easy to fit anywhere.
Overall Scent | The scent is not a bad one, personally, I really like it–and I’m sensitive to smells! It’s almost like a light baby powder type of scent.
Overall Wear | This particular primer can be worn underneath makeup and can be touched up throughout the day. I have found that I didn’t need any touching up as the day went on. I also didn’t need to blot or apply powder as often due to my oiliness. It felt amazing on my skin and I didn’t break out with it.
I also did notice my foundation last on longer without my redness peeking through or it “wearing” off.
Final Thoughts
I have been testing this primer for 2 weeks now, and I have fallen in love with it! 🙂 Due to the fact that it controls my oiliness so well throughout the day, and I don’t have to blot or powder my face like I used to (3-4 times a day, depending on how long I have been wearing makeup.)
I recommend this primer to anyone who is looking to control shine and the size of their pores. It really does work wonders!
I don’t see myself going a day without this!
