Now that January is coming to an end, it’s time for monthly favorites! My favorite posts and videos to watch, honestly.
I’ll be honest and say that this month, although I had new things to try (last month’s haul here) I didn’t wear makeup all that much. So I don’t have TOO many favorites this month.
Enough rambling, let’s jump into the faves!
January 2014 Favorites
Malin+Goetz Mojito Lip Balm
-I received this little tube in my January Ipsy Bag, the minute I pulled it out, I tried it out…and instantly fell in love! It’s a bit on the thicker side, but it’s SO moisturizing! I love applying this at night before going to bed, I wake up with super soft lips.
Benefit Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer
-I am loving this primer! It literally leaves your makeup in place for hours and hours! I haven’t worn my makeup for 15 hours…but I can vouch for at least 11 hours! My makeup still looked great when I went to remove it! Definitely recommend this!
Urban Decay’s De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray
-Hallelujah! I have found the answer to my oily skin! I have tried the original setting spray and loved it, but this one my friends…is AMAZING for us oily gals! My face stays matte, but not dull, for long, long periods of time!
theBalm Instain Blush in Houndstooth
-This shade is perfect for this time of year, and I found myself reaching for it a ton! I have a review and swatches on this blush and another, which you can find here.
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms in Sultry and Shameless
-Yes, I know…I talk about these a lot…but I can’t help it, I LOVE them! Last month Shameless was my favorite, and it made it’s way to my January faves again. I have also been loving Sultry. I have a few other shades, would you guys like to see lip swatches? Let me know!
NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation
-For some reason, I didn’t use foundation much this month, instead I gravitated to my BB Creams–I also had a few sample packets to try–so to add just a bit more coverage, and of course to keep me matte, I used this powder. It’s amazing! But, it can look a bit cakey if you apply to much…
Lorac Pro Palette
-Yet again, this makes my faves! I know, I know…but to my defense, I went out of town for over a week and I only packed this palette. It has everything I need, mattes and shimmers.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask
-I posted a review on this mask earlier this week, you can find it here. I won’t get talk to much about it, but I highly recommend it.
-My oh my, have my husband and I gotten use out of this little tin. He recently had a bad case of dry skin on his cheeks–which is rare since his skin is pretty normal, but it’s been freezing–he applied this one night and the next morning, gone! No dry patches, nothing! I have a review for it here, I definitely recommend it to anyone who suffers from dry skin.
Well, that’s it my friends! I hope you enjoyed this post and maybe found some new things to try. I am currently working on getting a haul post up, a few looks/collabs, and a tag that Miss +Chelsea L. created! Stay tuned!
Have you tried any of these goodies?
