Model In A Bottle | Review*

I don’t know if any of you watched Jersey Shore back when it aired on MTV, but I vividly recall seeing the girls use hairspray, yes…HAIRspray on their face after applying their makeup. At the time, I was confused and appalled! I later found out they did that to help keep their makeup in place. Well, no need to apply hairspray ladies, I’m not here to share that with you all, but I am here to introduce you to the hairspray of makeup!

I was recently lucky enough to test out a few products from Model In A Bottle. I own and already love their original setting spray, in the old packaging…but I went in with an open mind when trying out these products.

Let’s jump in!

 Model In A Bottle

What the company says: “Stay Gorgeous all day long with Model in a Bottle! No matter what type or brand of makeup you wear, our products will ensure it will stick around. From our groundbreaking Setting Sprays to the beauty blogger coveted Eyebrow Sealer, and everything in between, we promise to keep your face in place!”

Sensitive Skin Setting Spray

The Rundown

Price: $21.00

  • Dries with a translucent matte finish
  • Doesn’t clog pores
  • Never interferes with or reduces the effectiveness of SPF
  • Has a natural scent of lavender
  • Adds moisture with Aloe Vera extract
  • Not tested on animals
  • Proudly made in the USA

The packaging is very sleek and travel friendly. Which is great because when I travel, I want my makeup to stay in place all day when I’m out and about. The sprayer is very much like the sprayers from any of the Urban Decay Setting Sprays, their bottles have an airless pumping system which sprays out a fine mist. So far, my sprayer hasn’t clogged!

I definitely think this is wonderful for oily skinned gals, my face normally starts getting shiny around 2 hours of having applied makeup…with this setting spray, I can easily go 4++ without having to blot. <–That’s amazing for my oily skin!

The staying power of my makeup is phenomenal! Recently, I went well over 12 hours with a full face of makeup on, and it still looked great! This definitely keeps your face in place for hours!

Will I Repurchase? — Most definitely!

 EyeBrow Sealer

The Rundown

Price: $14.00

  • Dries with a translucent matte finish
  • Comes with two applicator brushes
  • Doesn’t clog pores
  • Not tested on animals
  • Proudly made in the USA

I normally use a clear eyebrow gel to set my eyebrows, but I do find that after a few hours they start to droop a little. I’m an eyebrow junkie, I love trying new eyebrow products, so when I found this along with the other products I was sent, I was ecstatic!

This comes in a nail polish-like packaging, with a spoolie brush and with a brush. I prefer to use the spoolie, I find that it is easier to comb thru my brows while setting them.

When this first goes on, it looks shiny–I was instantly turned off–but once it dries, it dries to a matte, natural finish.

I am guilty of touching my face a lot–I know, I know, shame on me–and I often find myself asking my husband if my eyebrows are still on. Thankfully, with this little magic potion, I don’t have to worry anymore. It takes an army to take my eyebrows off…okay, okay, I’m over exaggerating, but it takes a good waterproof eye makeup remover to take them off.

I couldn’t be happier with this product! A must have for all of those who struggle with wild eyebrows.

Will I Repurchase? — Absolutely! Although I think this bottle will last me ages…

All in all, if you are in the market for a good setting spray or eyebrow sealer, I highly recommend you check out Model In A Bottle. You will not be disappointed!

I was also sent a set of travel size makeup brushes and an eyelash curler. Which I am very happy with as well.

I hope you all enjoyed this review and maybe consider trying out some products from Model In A Bottle! And check them out on Twitter | @ModelinaBottle
