How crazy that we are already halfway through March!? This year is already zooming on by! Anyway, I’m not here to talk about that…I’m here to share with you my Birchbox and Ipsy subscriptions for this month.
My Ipsy bag showed up out of nowhere, one morning I got my tracking code in my email, and it said I would be getting it in a few days. Later that night, my Ipsy bag was waiting for me in the mailbox!? Crazy! My Birchbox came in a few days later. So let’s see what I got!
Birchbox — is a beauty subscription box filled with lifestyle and beauty sample or full-sized products for $10 a month. The great thing about Birchbox is you can earn points every month by reviewing the products you received that month, and you can use those points towards full-size products. You can also earn points by referring friends–that’s why I share my link with you guys!
Ipsy — is also a beauty subscription bag filled with beauty sample or full-sized products also for $10 a month. You earn ipsyPoints each time someone you referred subscribes and you get an extra goodie in your bag for the following month. Just recently, they added the same feature as Birchbox, now you also get points for reviewing your products. They also provide coupon codes or discounts for the products they featured that month!
On to the goodies!!
Air Repair Rescue Balm | Full-size, $12
Coola Tinted Matte SPF 30 BB Cream | Full-size, $36
Vasanti Cosmetics BrightenUp! Enzymatic Rejuvenator | Full-size, $34
bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready | Full-size, $18
Chella Indigo Blue Eyeliner | Full-size, $24
Klorane Smoothing and Relaxing Eye Patches | Full-size, $18
Honestly, this month, Birchbox was a complete dud! I was pretty disappointed…the samples are tiny, with the exception of the Jergens cream and cleanser. I’m about over the perfume samples, at first they didn’t bother me, but I’ve gotten one too many. I’ll stop complaining now! LOL! I will continue to give Birchbox a couple of more months…but if they continue to be like this month’s box, I will probably cancel my service.
Now, with all of that said, I am not thrilled with my Ipsy, but I’m not disappointed either. I do like everything I received, but I’ve seen better months. Since I’ve been with Ipsy, I’ve gotten 5-6 products each month, so I was a bit bummed to get 4 in this bag. But hey, it is $10 a month…
All in all, I guess Ipsy wins this month!
So are you guys subscribed to these monthly services?
Which box was your favorite?
What products did you get?
Don’t forget to review your goodies for points! And if you are interested in either service please click here for Birchbox and here for Ipsy. I don’t get paid nor am I affiliated with them, I just get points.
Until next time beauties!
