Yep, it’s that time again…time for a subscription showdown!
This month my Birchbox actually came in a bit later than usual…it got lost in the mail, boo! But Birchbox was kind enough to give me 100 points, which equals $10, to use in their shop! Woot woot! I love their customer service and their points system.
Anywho, let’s get started!
Birchbox — is a beauty subscription box filled with lifestyle and beauty sample or full-sized products for $10 a month. The great thing about Birchbox is you can earn points every month by reviewing the products you received that month, and you can use those points towards full-size products. You can also earn points by referring friends–that’s why I share my link with you guys!
Ipsy — is also a beauty subscription bag filled with beauty sample or full-sized products also for $10 a month. You earn ipsyPoints each time someone you referred subscribes and you get an extra goodie in your bag for the following month. Just recently, they added the same feature as Birchbox, now you also get points for reviewing your products. They also provide coupon codes or discounts for the products they featured that month!

Ipsy this month was pretty decent, I like the hair mask and the Calvin Klein rollerball—yes, it’s tiny, but it’s perfect to throw in my makeup bag…Birchbox, try these perfume samples in the future, much better than the little spray sample that only gives us two uses! [End Rant!] The eyeshadow duo is nice, but I’m actually not going to open it and I’ll be throwing that in a giveaway box. The thermal spring water…it’s okay, it’s literally just water though. It can be used when you have a bad sun burn or irritation on the skin.
Now Birchbox…it actually isn’t bad! I love trying new body balms, so I’m happy with the Perlier balm. I also like the little sample of the Coola After-Sun lotion…better than the spring water. And how cute is the Jouer lip gloss! So itty bitty and cute! The color isn’t bad either!
This month…I’m actually going to go with Birchbox!
Whattt?!? I know, they have been slacking these last few months, but this box wasn’t too bad. I do like my Ipsy bag–mainly just the hair mask and rollerball…
Oh, and the vitamin gummies were really good! There are some gummies that have that really bad vitamin-y after taste…these don’t. I’m surprised because they also have Omega 3 in them!
So are you guys subscribed to these monthly services?
Which box was your favorite?
What products did you get?
Don’t forget to review your goodies for points! And if you are interested in either service please click here for Birchbox and here for Ipsy. I don’t get paid nor am I affiliated with them, I just get points.
Until next time beauties!
