Hey beauties!! I’m here today with my monthly faves…seems like I just posted my April Favorites yesterday!
I don’t have as many favorites as I usually have, this month was very low key for me. I rarely wore makeup and when I did it was usually very subtle looks.
Let’s get started!
May 2014 Favorites
I’ve had this powder for quite some time now–find a full review on it here–I enjoyed it back then, but now I’m loving it even more! Now that the weather is beginning to get hot, this works wonders on my oily skin. I’ve worn this out and about in hot, humid weather and have only needed to blot once. Usually, I would have to blot at least 2-3 times! This paired with the setting spray mentioned below are ahhhh-mazing on oily skin!
I wrote a whole review on this blush, which you can find here along with swatches. I have gone to this blush almost every time I’ve worn makeup this past month! I love swirling all the shades together or just concentrating on one color.
If you have oily skin, then you MUST try this setting spray, it will change your life—dramatic much?! But seriously, it’s like magic in a bottle…can I have this by the gallons, please?! LOL! In all seriousness, this keeps me matte for SO long and paired with the setting spray mentioned above…wonderful!
I won this palette last year from a giveaway Liz, from My Pretty Obsessions held. When I first got it, I immediately loved it. The shades are SO creamy and buttery smooth. Like I mentioned earlier, I didn’t wear much makeup this month, but I did reach for this little palette for quick and easy eye looks–when I did wear shadows. I love that it comes with 2 decently sized highlighting shades and the colors are perfect for summer…just look at that first coppery shade!!
I hate even mentioning this mascara because CoverGirl recently discontinued it…such a shame, it’s such a good mascara! It gives amazing volume! I was able to find it on Amazon, so just click the link above, if you are interested.
Nude lipsticks just don’t seem to work for me, in my opinion, but this one…it’s the perfect pink-y, nude shade for me. Not too pink and not too brown, and it’s so inexpensive! It feels really nice on the lips, as well. Go out and buy it if you don’t already own it…I’m sure you’ll love it!
I got this lipstick in a Birchbox some time ago and I somehow forgot about it, until recently. It’s another pink-y, nude color that’s a tiny bit more brown than Rimmel’s Airy Fairy. It’s a matte finish, but it’s the MOST moisturizing matte lipstick I’ve ever tried…even more than the Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balms that I love! This formula is hands down amazing!
That rounds up my favorites for May! Thanks for reading lovelies!
