Tartelette In Bloom | Review & Swatches

Hey there! About a few weeks ago, I purchased the new Tartelette In Bloom palette by Tarte. Actually, believe it or not, had not tried any Tarte shadows! I had been eyeing the original Tartelette palette because of all the beautiful mattes. I had the 20% off coupon from Ulta that I was wanting to use as well as $33 in points that I had earned. PS – Isn’t Ulta’s reward system just amazing, especially if you are Platinum!

Anyway, this palette came out to about $25, how could I pass it up! Today I’m sharing my thoughts and some swatches.

Price | $45

Size | 12 eyeshadows

Where To Buy | Ulta, Sephora, Tarte

Infused with tarte’s signature Amazonian clay formula, you’ll get the same pigmented payoff, blendability, and lasting color as with the original tartelette—all in a chic, portable palette with a beautiful floral design. Use your favorite shadow brush to create your own custom blended bold eye or more subtle looks for any occasion. The palette includes a step-by-step guide for creating looks from a vibrant eye to an ethereal glow.

Charmer (off white), Jetsetter (warm taupe), Rocker (shimmering taupe), Smokeshow (black brown)

Flower Child (peachy nude), Smarty Pants (tan), Firecracker (bronze copper), Activist (dark brown)

Funny Girl (champagne), Sweetheart (peach), Rebel (chestnut brown), Leader (aubergine)

My Thoughts

  • First off, the packaging is gorgeous! I love the color and the floral design. The mirror included in the palette is huge and comes in handy when traveling.
  • For the most part, all of the shadows are creamy, opaque, and blend nicely. The only shadow I had a problem with was Leader, it wasn’t as opaque and blendable as all of the other shadows. You can see in the swatch that it’s kind of patchy.
  • The three luster shades are my favorite, especially Rocker and Firecracker. They are very creamy and build up nicely. They don’t have much fall out either.
  • This palette is a bit more on the warm side, but it has a few neutrals as well. I love the mauvey shades included as well.

Overall, I’m very pleased with this palette, everything you could ask for in a shadow, these provide! The price isn’t too bad either, most palettes nowadays are over $50. I have used this palette several times and can’t wait to share a few looks with you all.

Have you tried this palette? What is your all time favorite palette?
