A couple of months back, I shared some of my favorite, tried and true beauty hacks and you all loved them! In that post I asked if you’d like to see more, so I’m back with what I like to call, lazy girl hacks. In other words, time saving tips that will let you get some extra zzz’s in the morning, because who doesn’t love extra sleep?
1. Use Multi-Purpose Products
We want to save time, so instead of reaching for your favorite eyeshadow palette. Use your bronzer — just a simple blend over your crease gives your eyes dimension. You can also use concealer as eye primer, lipstick as a cream blush, a BB cream that moisturizes and provides coverage.
2. Nail Down Your 5 Minute Face
Say you hit the snooze button one too many times and you have less than 10 minutes to head out the door…well instead of skipping the makeup, have a 5 minute look nailed. Sounds funny, but try practicing it and timing yourself.
3. Keep Products Together
Keep all of your daily products together in your top drawer, in a basket or a small makeup bag. The less time you spend looking for something the better.
4. Exfoliate Lips Easier
We all brush our teeth, so next time try exfoliating your lips with your toothbrush. Yep, your toothbrush. After you’ve brushed and rinsed your brush, gently run the brush over your wet lips and voila, you have smooth lips! This is perfect for days that you are in a hurry and don’t want to spend too much time grabbing your lip scrub…
5. Prep The Night Before
This is key! I know we are tired and ready for bed…but the most you can get down the night before, the more you can snooze. Have your outfit ready, as well as any bags you will need. Make sure you also have breakfast prepped, fill up your water bottle, pack your lunch…any little prep ahead of time helps.
6. Use Easy Products
Try using products that are easy to apply — and NEVER use a new product for the first time when you are in a hurry. You never know how it will turn out, if you’ll like it, or your skin reacts badly to it. Reach for a tinted lip balm instead of a lipstick — no mirror is needed to apply.
7. Quick Curls
If you are pressed for time, but still want to curl your hair. Try this: pick up your hair in a high, loose pony tail. — then simply curl the ponytail in 3-4 sections. Let it down and you have loose curls!
8. Skip A Full Face
And instead spot concealer, apply some blush, lip balm and mascara. Easy, fast and fresh faced!
I really hope you learned something new and it can help you save some time every morning while getting ready for your busy day ahead.
