Happy Friday, friends! Even though it was a short week, it actually felt quite long. Tell me I wasn’t the only one?! Anywho, today I’m bringing you 10 must have winter lip colors. Most of these are matte, bold and drugstore!

Starting off with some nude-ish, brown colors. Most people are a bit stand-offish about trying a brown hinted lip color. It can be intimidating, I get it. However, it’s can be quite flattering on medium skin tones. If you’re up to giving these shades a try, a liquid lipstick I recommend is the Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Verona, a mocha nude brown. Since this shade has cooler tones, it would pair well with those that have pink undertones. For those with yellow/olive undertones, a good matte shade would be, L’Oreal’s Colour Riche Matte Lipstick in He Thinks He’s Matte-Cho, a warm muted brown.

Moving on to mauve shades, my personal favorites! Mauves look well on almost all skin tones — my picks for the winter time are L’Oreal’s Saucy Mauve and Rebel Rouge, along with Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick in Mood.

Lastly, we can’t have a winter lip color must haves post, without a red or dark color! Some of my favorite drugstore liquid lipsticks are the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink line, they don’t budge at all! My favorite shades for winter are Ruler and Voyager, perfect deep colors. If you’re looking for a shade with a bit more red to it, then Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick in Extra Saucy is for you — it’s the perfect deep red. A super vampy shade to consider, Smashbox’s Always On Liquid Lipstick in Miss Conduct, is a great deep/warm plum. Now if these are too dark for you, a good shade that is buildable and super affordable, is Pixi’s MatteLast Liquid Lip in Berry Boost
