Active Ingredients – Anti-Aging & Skin-Loving:
The images above, I’m not wearing any product. As you can see, I can some acne scarring and a lot of freckles. On one side of my face I used the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Skin Skin-Hugging Foundation Brush and on the other, I used a Beauty Blender. The side that I used the brush on went on really well, blended like a dream and gave me excellent coverage. Now, the side that I used the sponge was a bit odd. It went on great, good coverage and blended well BUT, I started to notice small white flakes. ONLY on the side that I used the sponge on. It’s so weird, I honestly don’t know how to explain it. I don’t have dry skin, nor was the foundation peeling, and it wasn’t my moisturizer reacting to the foundation either. It was only on the side that I had used the sponge. I decided to go over that section with the brush instead and voila, the flakes were gone. So, if you decide to try this foundation, I highly recommend using a brush…if possible, the skin-hugging brush that is recommended. It’s AMAZING — the shape of it helps get into every nook and it blends so well!
Now, the foundation isn’t as matte as I am used to, it’s more of a semi-matte finish. It does give full, buildable coverage. Something else worth noting, the color range is great but while I normally would go with something in the light ranges, I had to go with a 205 Medium Neutral. I rarely have to go up to the medium ranges. So that’s something to keep in mind too. IT Cosmetics claims this is a long-wearing foundation, but for me, it’s not as long-wearing as what I’m used too. I can probably get a good 6-8 hours of wear without having to worry about touching up or being super oily. If you have normally, combo skin, then it might wear for a longer time than me.
Overall, I do like this foundation. There are a few things to consider if you decide to purchase this, like I mentioned above, but I think it’s wonderful — especially since it has good anti-aging properties as well. I agree with IT Cosmetics that this foundation is definitely lightweight on the skin — it’s not heavy at all!
